I no longer want to dry my car

Just a couple of weeks ago I made a reasonable investment in having my car polished with a stage 1 correction and then ceramic coating applied afterwards.

There were a couple of reasons I opted to get this work carried out now. There were a couple of scratches that had been picked up from various places that I wanted to see if they could be improved, and despite fairly religiously following good washing technique I had still managed to get some swirls in the paint work.

Having now had it corrected, and in the interest of avoiding future swirling I’ve decided to buy a water purification filter. These filters are filled with resin that will purify your water so you don’t end up with water spots or streaking. Depending on how hard your water is will determine how long each filter will last. You don’t need to have filtered water for each stage of the clean, just the final rinse which should be done without a pressure washer.

You can spend a lot of money on these filters. At this point I’m between two….

Aqua Gleam – this one was recommended by my detailer and is the one he uses. Reasonable price however it’s not re-fillable.

Aqua House DI filter – this is one I found myself and researched into which can be refilled

I’ll let you know how I get on in due course once I’ve tried them out!
